Dine Tourism Corridor
Development Project
Diné Tourism Corridor Development Project (DTCDP) implements two
Demonstration Cultural Tourism Corridors in the Navajo and Hopi Nations. The project
goal is to increase entrepreneurial opportunities in the tourism sector to
create sustainable community development, establish and expand small
businesses, increase self-reliance, and present Diné and Hopi culture in a
self-determined manner. Analysis of the project helps quantify the
potential for increased receipts to entrepreneurs based on participation in
a Tourism Corridor which is properly marketed and promoted.

We are partnering with Diné bii ína, Inc. (DBI), a community-based nonprofit Navajo organization founded in 1991 to
provide leadership, economic development, and support for traditional lifeways of Navajo sheep
producers and weavers. The organization seeks to restore status to sheep herding, wool processing,
and weaving, and to promote the education that is necessary for its pursuit in the modern world.
